Physiotherapist Brookvale Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy at Pure Whole Health looks beyond symptoms and isolated body parts. We see the body as an intelligent, interconnected system, shaped by movement, nervous system regulation, psychology, belief systems and lived experience.

Pain, injury and dysfunction are never random. They are adaptive responses. Our role is to understand why your body is responding the way it is, and help it return to balance, resilience and confidence.

What makes our approach holistic

Rather than focusing solely on tissues or structures, we bring together the nervous system, fascia and connective tissue, movement quality and load tolerance, psychology and threat perception, your stress history, and your lifestyle, training and recovery.

This allows us to treat the root drivers of pain and dysfunction, not just the area where symptoms are felt.

Our approach blends Eastern and Western philosophies, combining modern physiotherapy, neuroscience and biomechanics with traditional concepts of flow, balance and systemic regulation.

How we treat

Fascial-based assessment and treatment

Fascia is a continuous, body-wide connective tissue network that plays a central role in posture, pain and nervous system regulation. Pain is often felt far from its primary driver.

Treatment may involve hands-on fascial release, movement-based loading, decompression techniques and neuromuscular re-education.

Nervous system regulation

Many chronic pain and complex conditions are underpinned by a nervous system stuck in protection. Our work supports regulation by:

  • Reducing threat and sensitisation
  • Improving sensory input and body awareness
  • Restoring confidence in movement
  • Gradually reintroducing safe, progressive load

Movement therapy and rehabilitation

Movement is how the nervous system learns safety, control and adaptability. We use it to:

  • Restore coordination and control
  • Improve load tolerance
  • Rebuild strength safely and progressively
  • Reinforce changes made through hands-on work

1 on 1 holistic movement rehabilitation

Deeper, more specific guidance in our specialised rehab space, combining fascial-based movement, strength and coordination work, nervous system regulation and specialised equipment.

Ideal for complex rehab, athletic performance or tailored movement therapy.

1 on 1 Clinical Pilates

The most therapeutic application of Pilates, delivered by physiotherapists. Sessions are designed to:

  • Bridge the gap between injury and strength training
  • Restore control, stability and confidence
  • Support post-operative, postpartum and pregnancy-safe movement
  • Progress safely toward sport or higher-load exercise

Dry needling and cupping

Dry needling influences neuromuscular, fascial and bioelectrical systems, particularly in areas of protective holding. If you would like dry needling in your session, please book with Lily.

Cupping works through decompression, lifting tissue layers rather than compressing them. It supports:

  • Fascial layer separation and glide
  • Blood flow and lymphatic movement
  • Tissue hydration and sensory input
  • Systemic regulation rather than local force

Both are always integrated with movement and rehabilitation for lasting change.
